Having read about the work that Links is involved in, it could be that you would like to make a donation towards it. Here are some creative ideas for you either individually, as a cell/house group or as a church:

  • For £220 you could buy a cow for Kenya which would produce enough milk for a whole school. The clever bit is that you gets twice the bangs for you bucks as the cow will be artificially inseminated.
  • For £5 you could provide a mosquito net which would protect an entire family from Malaria which kills more people around the world than the Aids virus.
  • For £30 you could sponsor a pastor or key worker out on the field to receive a package three times a year of an up-to-date worship album, teaching CD and book.
  • For £40 you can set up a national in their own micro enterprise project which would empower them to take themselves out of poverty. Because this £40 is a loan it is constantly being recycled to help others.
  • For £25 you can sponsor a national to be trained in Primary Healthcare. For this they will receive training along with a training manual and certificate. If needs be this would also provide money towards prescription glasses being provided.
  • For £1700 you could provide a two bedroom house, £2100 a three bedroom house for a family in Uganda. Again these families receive the money on a loan basis and so like with micro enterprise it is constantly being recycled.
