Introducing James Bierbrauer

James has recently moved from Bath, UK, to join the Links International team in South Africa for 6-12 months commencing in February 2010. He grew up in Germany and moved to England in 2005 for university. In the last 4
years, James became a member of Bath City Church and served on the youth work team for a number of years. His heart is to follow Jesus and serve where he is lead, as well as enjoy life! A keen surfer and sportsman, James loves meeting people, cooking and enjoying good food and being outside.

Business Background
In 2009, James graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Business Administration. As part of his studies, he spent 16 months working for Lloyds TSB and HBOS, gathering valuable experience and skills in various areas. Throughout these work placements, James developed a keen interest in and passion for project management, which he hopes to pursue as a career.

Why SA?
After completing his studies, James chose to realize the opportunity to go to South Africa, as he believes this is the next step Jesus has for his life. While in South Africa, he is seeking to support and serve with Mike & Beryl Godward in establishing Link's organizational presence, drawing on relevant administrative and project management skills. Boasting much natural beauty, amazing people and great waves, James hopes to make the most of his time enjoying every aspect of South African life, including a good braai (barbeque).

Passions & Dreams
Over the last few years, God has been growing a passion in James for raw, genuine and simple Christianity, which is centred exclusively on Jesus Christ. With this in mind, James gets excited about people knowing the reality of Jesus' cross and the impact on every aspect of life, especially community, family and restored relationships. Other passions include Jesus-centred teaching and preaching, as well as seeing worship music focus on God. Generally, his heart is for restoring the basics: that Jesus came so that we can be free to live meaningful lives out of a new heart, enjoying God and giving Him the glory!
